SEMIP designs and manufactures high-precision potentiometers since 1960. The mastery of the technologies used in our sensors allows us to offer a wide choice of solutions for your applications.
Wirewound technology:
A resistant wire is wound on an insulator support with a method that guarantees an absolute regularity of coiling.
With this process we are able to propose mono and multi-turn rotary potentiometers as well as high-precision linear potentiometers.
Conductive plastic technology:
We have always manufactured our conductive plastic inks in our own laboratory under controlled atmosphere.
These conductive plastics are layered on an insulator support before the polymerization stage that will form the track of the potentiometer.
The layering process is automatic and realised under the control of a dedicated software.
These manufacturing and layering conditions guarantee the optimum performance and reliability for our sensors.
Hybrid technology :
A track of wirewound potentiometer is covered with a conductive plastic ink with the same process as the one used for the conductive plastic potentiometers.
We then get a sensor which combines both some of the advantages of a wirewound potentiometer and of a conductive plastic potentiometers.
The manufacturing of our potentiometers uses precious metals for the strategic elements of the product.
This is realized by specific automatic machines and by versatile operators in a room under controlled atmosphere class 100.000 (ISO 8) in a respect of the international standards.
The manufacturing under laminar flow hood class 10.000 (ISO 7) is also possible; this depends of the final application.
The final control is performed by an automatic machine guaranteeing the highest level of reliability for the measurements.
